We are also ranked in the top 15% of colleges in the UK for success rates with 16 - 18 year old students. A Dedicated Sixth Form for A-Levels Students
We offer a wide range of A-Level subjects taught at wvSixth, the college's newly refurbished sixth form centre on the Paget Road campus. In addition, we offer a new one-year Access to A-Levels programme for students who wish to progress to A-Levels but have not achieved the required GCSE grades for the subjects they wish to study.
One of the leading Apprenticeship Providers
We are the largest provider of 16-18 apprenticeships in the area and help over 800 young people to earn while they learn by combining working for an employer with studying for a recognised qualification at college.
For students aged 16-18 there are no course fees and, if your household income is less than £25,000 per year, there is a range of support available to help with college costs including travel, meals, equipment, printing and educational visits. In addition, bursaries are available to help the most vulnerable young people participate in education and training.
Industry-standard Training Facilities
With three campuses across the city, the college boasts impressive engineering and motor vehicle workshops, a state-of-the-art construction innovation centre, commercial hair and beauty salons, modern performing arts and music studios, and a fully-operational bakery, restaurant and sports centre – ensuring all students receive industry-standard training in preparation for their future career.
Great Progression Rates
We offer excellent opportunities to progress to the next level of study at the college, with over 95% of last year’s students moving on to employment, university or further study.
We offer this education and training programme for young people who are motivated to get a job but lack the experience employers are looking for, traineeships are an excellent preparation for moving on to an apprenticeship.

With over 20 higher education courses on offer, we offer an affordable alternative to going to university.
